Planning A Spring Outdoor Wedding? Tips To Help You Prepare

Blog

If you've decided on a spring wedding, now's the time to get started on the plans. This is especially true if you've decided on an outdoor wedding venue. Outdoor venues are the perfect location for spring weddings. But, you do need to do some extra planning. Here are some tips to help you plan your outdoor wedding.

Rely on Your Vendors

When it comes to planning an outdoor wedding, it's important that you rely on your vendors. Most vendors have a lot of experience with outdoor wedding venues. Your vendors can help you choose the right features for your outdoor wedding. It's also important that you communicate with your venue managers. They'll know what types of features will work well for your outdoor wedding.

Look for Some Shade

If you're planning an outdoor wedding next spring, be sure to look for some shade. If you're renting tents, you might not think you need shade, but that's not the case. Some of your guests will want to leave the tent during the festivities. When they do, they'll want to have a shady place to retreat. Plus, shade trees can help create a comfortable breeze inside the tents.

Prepare for Changes

If you're planning a spring wedding, prepare for some changes. Spring weather can get unpredictable. You never know when a spring rainstorm is going to come through. Even the temperatures can get tricky to predict during the spring months. You might get several days of typical spring temperatures followed by a few days that fluctuate between summer heat, and winter cold. Because of that, you need to make plans for those changes. One way to do that is to include heaters and cooling units with your venue rental. If it looks like there might be some rain in the forecast, plan for at least one tent rental.

Be Ready for Bugs

If you want to have an outdoor wedding next spring, now's the time to prepare for the bugs. One of the problems with bugs is that you can't keep them away. But, you can keep them away from your guests. One way to do that is to add personalized bug spray to your gift bags. That way, your guests can enjoy the ceremony, without getting eaten alive by the bugs. Another way is to decorate the venue with essential oil candles. You'll add ambiance and bug protection to your wedding ceremony.
